I do a lot of trackdays with my beater Mazda Protege. When I started, I ran on used tires, thinking I'd never want to sink real money into such an old (262k miles now) daily driver. After a year of tracking the car, I ended up buying dedicated track wheels with r-comps. Funny how quickly things can change. Good luck with the CRX. They're awesome cars. Fully prepped, I've seen them hang with cars with more than twice the horsepower.
